Westside Elementary School Cooking Club

Students enrolled in Westside Elementary After School Program (WASP) are eligible to participate in the Cooking Club.  Club meetings are held on Monday and Wednesday of each week from 3:30-4:30pm.  Students are scheduled for club meetings based on WASP administrator recommendation.  Club meetings are held with a maximum of 15 students, as to allow each child to receive full information and gain experience through hands-on activities.  At each meeting, every student will participate in recipe preparation and enjoy sharing in the final dish.  Specific techniques are taught each meeting and students learn by hearing, seeing, and doing.  At the end of the meeting, students will take home a printed recipe and a tangible result of club activity(ies).
